Pretty Good Indication Dating Websites

Posted by Unknown Kamis, 15 Desember 2011 0 komentar
Take 1,000 pictures of yourself, choose two or three that stand out, write up a blurb on how awesome you are and you have at it!

Daily Diapers

No, this isn’t a site for the aged and infirm wearing Depends. It’s the internet’s premiere FREE community for Adult Babies, Diaper Lovers, Big Kids, and fetishists galore who relish returning to a more peaceful time in their life: childhood. Apparently, these adult children grew up wearing plastic pants and “sissy clothes” as well. According to the site: “Adult Babies like to wear diapers, but also enjoy other babyish things. They may wear baby or sissy clothes such as Onesie-like snap-crotch T-shirts, rompers or play suits. They tend to like more colorful diaper covers and even frilly ruffled panty-style covers. Adult Babies may also enjoy drinking formula from baby bottles, or eating baby food. Generally they like to be treated totally like a baby during this play time, being changed, bathed, and even spanked by their partner who serves as their Mommy or Daddy.” There’s one out there for us all, eh? [Website]

Crazy Blind Date

This site is for intrepid souls only! In a nutshell, you are not allowed to see any photos of your potential dates beforehand and the service will match you up according to where you live. At the time of this review, the website only boasted eight major U.S. cities, but there is an option to select your own location to see if they have a listing. There are three options to choose from: a solo date, a double date, or you don’t care. The novelty steps in when you next have the option of going out on a date that very same night! Next, you select the area in your chosen city you wish to go to, then sit back and wait for an e-mail confirmation that the date is scheduled. Not for the faint of heart! [Website]

420 Dating

For those of you who have been living on the moon as of late, the term “420 friendly” is slang for “I smoke weed.” Finally, the stoners have an online community where you can find someone you can share the munchies with. Strangely enough, the site’s Terms of Service page states: “The following is a partial list of the kind of Content that is illegal or prohibited on the Website. It includes Content that promotes information that you know is false, misleading or promotes illegal activities. It also states at the bottom of the landing page: ” 420dating.com does not advocate the use of any illegal substances.” And yet on the front page are photos of the latest “Featured Smokers” enjoying a nice healthy dose of hydroponics. Uhhhh, what? [Website]

Darwin Dating

Yes, online dating has been reduced to the shallowest end of the mudpuddle with this matchmaking service. The criteria to join is STRICT as they allow “beautiful people only.” And that doesn’t include inner beauty. They even include what they affectionately call the “Chimp Calculator” to test your unattractiveness level! Their tagline? “Online dating minus ugly people.” One can only imagine how much Photoshopping has been done to these profiles! [Website]

Trek Passions

What couple argues about finances anymore? Here you can find that special someone who can debate whether Jean-Luc or James T. was the better captain, and then go snuggle under your Ewok/Death Star matching sheets. From the home page: “A 100% free online community and SciFi personals site for science fiction lovers, including but not limited to lovers of Star Trek and Star Wars.” Its tagline is: “Love long and Prosper!” Just remember to have your partner checked for Tribble infestation before becoming, *ahem*, intimate. [Website]

No Longer Lonely

Are you schizophrenic? Do you suffer from paranoia? Do you play with your own waste with great delight? Well, thankfully a site has been created to match up people with histories of mental illness. Costing nothing to join with full access to all of its features, No Longer Lonely boasts it’s the only dating site of its kind. Now what could possibly go wrong here? And as an alternative, here’s a site for people suffering with an STD. Now if only they would combine these two. [Website]

Tall Friends

If you happen to suffer from tinyophobia (the fear of little people), you might want to check this site out. It specifically caters to like-minded singles who are of a specific height, meaning TALL. Verbatim, their introduction is: “Welcome to the best, largest and most effective tall dating site in the world. This is the best place for looking for tall dating relationship or marriage. We bring together tall-dating minded singles from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe and more. Here you could mingle with tall singles, tall beautiful women and tall handsome men.” [TallFriends Website]

As an alternative there is a dating site for short people that can be found here. [DateALittle Website]

Women Behind Bars

You have a better than average chance at hooking up here for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, the site doesn’t list what these women’s offenses were to land them in prison, so you’re taking your chances. Surprisingly, if you get a chance to read the “What People are Saying About Us” page, the percentage is high for satisfied customers. Price-wise, it costs you a mere 3 dollars to obtain one address where you can converse via snail mail. The site even has an “Add to Cart” and “Checkout” button after you’re done shopping for your badass beauties! A huge plus is you can pretty much rely on the fact that they’re not going to cheat on you with your best friend. Or anyone else for that matter. [Website]

Scientific Match

At a measly $2000 for a lifetime membership, this site boasts that it will find you a match based on PHYSICAL chemistry. Their CLIA/ASH-accredited lab analyzes your supplied DNA sample (immune system genes) to find that perfect someone, and then destroy it after they’re done with it. What are the benefits of DNA comparison?
  • Chances are increased that you’ll love the natural body fragrance of your matches.
  • You have a greater chance of a more satisfying sex life.
  • Women tend to enjoy a higher rate of orgasms with their partners.
  • Women have a much lower chance of cheating in their exclusive relationships.
  • Couples tend to have higher rates of fertility.
  • All other things being equal, couples have a greater chance of having healthier children with more robust immune systems.
[Website]

Ashley Madison Agency

This site, dedicated to married/single folks seeking out “arrangements” with other married folks, sadly has (to date) 4,255,000 members. This site recently took off in America and was like a rash over popular radio station commercial breaks and contains the tagline: “Life is short. Have an affair!” The site GUARANTEES an affair if you sign up, although they do mention in their disclaimer that they are not personally held liable for personal injury or death that should happen to you if you use their services. Which, unfortunately, will be an unexpected guarantee as well. [Website]

How To Make $100,000 On YouTube

Posted by Unknown Jumat, 28 Oktober 2011 0 komentar
Here is some advice on how to take advantage of your 15 minutes of Internet fame from people who did just that.

Make an outstanding video

There is no recipe for creating a viral video, but there are a few common traits.

Take the time to identify the video by writing a detailed title and description so people and search engines can find it easily, said Kevin Allocca, manager of YouTube Trends. "Surprised Kitty" (55 million viewings and counting) is far better than "Video of Tigger."

Share it widely on social networks, he said, and let people embed the video on other Web sites. It helps if a celebrity links to it. "Double Rainbow," a sensation last year, had only 200 views between its debut in January and July — when Jimmy Kimmel posted a link on Twitter and it took off. Current count: 31 million viewings.

It's not as easy as it looks, Mr. Allocca said. "Make really good content," he said. "That's the one nobody wants to hear, but it's the truth."

It seems to help if the videos include funny people (especially old people and babies), animals (especially babies) and dancing (again, especially when the dancers are babies). Make a video that is universal yet original to you, recommends Randy McEntee, who posted an iPhone video, "Talking Twin Babies," showing his twin baby boys having an animated conversation in gibberish.

"I think the reason it's caught on around the world is there's no language," Mr. McEntee said.

Another common piece of advice: don't set out to make a viral video. "We didn't try," said Ms. Clem, who shot her video on a Flip camera and had never posted on YouTube. "I don't have any advice because I literally went to bed that night and woke up and our lives were completely different."

Get money from YouTube ads

If your video is on the road to viral success, YouTube, a part of Google, is eager to make money from you. It will send you an e-mail asking if you want to become a partner. If you give your permission, the site will run ads alongside your video and share more than half the revenue with you, sending you a check each month.

Some of the people behind viral videos, like the father of the boy coming down from dental anesthesia in "David After Dentist," have made more than $100,000 from YouTube ads. Ms. Clem has made $3,000 in three weeks and stands to make much more because Disney wants to use her video in a TV ad.

Early on, YouTube would sign people up as partners after videos had been watched more than a million times. But it has since developed an algorithm, which it calls reference rank, to predict whether a video will go viral when it has had as few as 10,000 views.

The most important element is whether influential Web sites post the video. When Reddit posted Mr. McEntee's video, for instance, its views jumped from 1,000 to six million in three days. YouTube also analyzes other data, like the number of viewers, how many times a video is shared on social networking sites and the rate at which people comment on the video.

Protect the video with a YouTube program called Content ID, which gives video owners the right to block others from using their videos or to be paid when they do. That helps to prevent people from creating copies that might be watched instead of yours. Parodies, translations or autotuned song versions, however, tend to add to the original's traffic.

YouTube does not offer live customer service for viral video creators. YouTube said it would be impossible to talk to millions of video creators but it has help forums for people to ask questions.

Appear on television

YouTube may turn us all into TV producers, but one of the best ways to get people to watch your online video is to appear on old-fashioned TV.

Ms. Clem's video spiked after she appeared on Fox News and Mr. McEntee's after he was on "Good Morning America." It rarely helps to try to contact TV shows directly — instead, wait for producers to call you, which they will in spades if your video is popular and touches a nerve, viral video veterans say.

Remember that a dip in views does not mean your 15 minutes are over. The talking twins video had almost five million viewers on its best day, dropped to 50,000 and now gets a couple hundred thousand a day.

Sell merchandise. When the boy in "David After Dentist" asked the camera, "Is this real life?" more than 101 million viewers could relate. David's father took swift advantage of that, opening an online store selling T-shirts and stickers with the tagline.

"All the top creators do that," said Shenaz Zack, product manager for YouTube partnerships.

Tracking who watches your video can suggest markets. At YouTube Insight, video creators can see detailed data about their audience, like where viewers come from and which Web sites have linked to the video.

They can also read YouTube Trends, a blog YouTube started in December to analyze what makes videos popular, whether they are about babies using iPads or scenes from the earthquake in Turkey.

Make a game plan for fame

The celebrity and money that come with viral YouTube videos are not always fun, say people who have lived through it.

The phone rings constantly with TV producers who want to show the video. Do not sign any contracts without consulting a lawyer, said Ms. Clem, because some of the contracts ask you to sign away your rights to the video.

"It's so exciting and you want it out there, but it's dangerous because people want to take advantage," she said.

Set up rules early on, said Mr. McEntee. For his family, that meant no travel to be on TV, no other videos of the children and "to behave in a way that our children would be proud of," including letting them remove the video when they are old enough to understand.

Talk to other people who have become YouTube celebrities about what they went through — the father of David wrote on his blog that at first he had worried that people were watching the video because they were making fun of his son, for instance.

"It's actually a really lonely place because there's no one out there that really has all the answers," Mr. McEntee said. "It's just such a rare thing."

Worst Product Launches Of All Time

Posted by Unknown Rabu, 12 Oktober 2011 0 komentar
Plenty of other big companies have abandoned products after disastrous launches. We picked out some of the most quickly cancelled products in history.

Ford Edsel: 3 years

The name "Edsel" is synonymous with "marketing failure." Ford invested $400 million into the car, which it introduced in 1957. But Americans literally weren't buying it, because they wanted "smaller, more economic vehicles," according to Associated Content:

Other pundits have blamed its failure on Ford Motors execs never really defining the model's niche in the car market. The pricing and market aim of most Edsel models was somewhere between the highest-end Ford and the lowest-end Mercury.

It was taken off the market in 1960.

Joost: 2+ years

Joost, originally known as "The Venice Project," was supposed to be a peer-to-peer TV network for the future, invented by the European geniuses behind Skype. The company recruited a rising star -- Mike Volpi -- away from Cisco to become its CEO. It got a deal with CBS. Joost was supposed to reinvent the way we consumed professional video.

Instead, Hulu, a joint venture between News Corp., NBC and Disney became the go-to site for TV episodes-on-the-web.

Meanwhile, Joost had all sorts of problems with its P2P architecture, its bulky software player, its content library, etc. After launching in Sept. 2007, it never took off, with its scraps selling in late 2009.

Coors Rocky Mountain Spring Water: 2 years

This was an interesting experiment in brand extension. Coors Rocky Mountain Spring Water launched in 1990, and didn't fare well. Turns out beer drinkers only want one thing from their favorite label: beer.

HD DVD: 2 years

Sponsored mostly by Toshiba, HD DVD was supposed to become the hi-def successor to the DVD when it launched in March 2006.

But the Sony-led Blu-ray faction ended up winning the format war when Warner Bros. announced it was dumping HD DVD for Blu-ray on Jan. 4, 2008.

About a month later, Toshiba said it would shut down its HD DVD efforts.

Cosmopolitan Yogurt: 18 months

Cosmopolitan made an interesting decision to launch a brand of yogurt in 1999. Needless to say, the yogurt market was already saturated, and Cosmo's readers were content enough reading the magazine.

Pepsi A.M. and Crystal: Both 1 year

In 1989, Pepsi tried to target the "breakfast cola drinker" with Pepsi a.m. It only lasted a year.

In 1992, Pepsi tried again, this time with a clear cola, "Crystal Pepsi." No dice -- it died in 1993.

McDonald's Arch Deluxe: 1 year

In 1996, McDonald's introduced the Arch Deluxe. It was intended to appeal to "urban sophisticates" -- outside of its target demographic. To reach this group McDonald's spent $100 million, which makes it one of the most expensive product flops in history.

Microsoft Bob: 1 year

Microsoft Bob was supposed to be a user-friendly interface for Windows, a project that was at one point managed by Bill Gates' now wife. Microsoft killed it one year after launching it in 1995.

Why?

"Unfortunately, the software demanded more performance than typical computer hardware could deliver at the time and there wasn't an adequately large market," Bill Gates later wrote. "Bob died."

Orbitz soda: 1 year

Although the soda, which looks like a lava lamp, appealed to young kids, it was not tasty (people compared it to cough syrup). It disappeared off shelves within a year of debuting in 1997.

However, Orbitz is still sold on eBay for a premium.

JooJoo: 11 months

In the era of a $499 Apple iPad, an inferior tablet computer that also costs $499 doesn't work. (You may remember this device from its previous title, the CrunchPad.) It came out in 2009 and was gone by 2010.

But JooJoo backer Fusion Garage continues to tinker and it's coming out with another tablet, which will also flop.

Mobile ESPN: 8 months

Mobile ESPN, introduced in January 2006, was one of the biggest flame-outs of "mobile virtual network operators," or MVNOs, last decade, which also included Amp'd Mobile, Helio, Disney Mobile, and others.

The idea was that ESPN would exclusively sell a phone that offered exclusive ESPN content and video, leasing network access from Verizon Wireless. But ESPN only had one phone at launch, a Sanyo device selling for $400.

No one bought it, and ESPN quickly shut down the service, instead providing content to Verizon's mobile Internet service.

Google Lively: 4 months

For some reason, Google thought it had to compete with Second Life in mid-2008, with a virtual world called "Lively," which came out in July 2008. (Except unlike Second Life, Lively was supposed to be sex-free.)

When the economy went down the toilet, those dreams faded fast, and Google quickly pulled the plug by November 2008.

RJ Reynold's smokeless cigarettes: 4 months

In the 1980s, just as all the anti-smoking campaigns were heating up, RJ Reynold's put $325 million into a new product: smokeless cigarettes.

They didn't work, and people weren't buying them -- so 4 months later, they were gone.

New Coke: 77 Days

In the early 1980s, Coke was losing ground to Pepsi. So it tried to create a product that would taste more like Pepsi.

While New Coke fared OK in nationwide taste tests before launching in 1985, it turned out those were misleading.

Coke abandoned the product after a few weeks, and went back to its old formula. It also gave its product a new name: Coca-Cola Classic.

HP Touchpad: 49 Days

After just a month and a half on the market, HP gave up the TouchPad and its mobile OS, WebOS in August.

The tablet was no iPad killer, selling just 25,000 units for Best Buy over the 49 days it was on their shelves.

Where does this put the TouchPad in the pantheon of tech flops? Well, it lasted one day longer than the Microsoft Kin phones, another recent flop.

So it's not the worst flop ever.

And, in fairness to HP, the TouchPad wasn't that bad. It was rough around the edges, but those could have been smoothed in the coming months. It just didn't really do anything better than the iPad, which means it's just like every other tablet out there.

Qwikster: 23 days

In September, Reed Hastings announced that Netflix would spin off Qwikster as a DVD rental business. This move met tons of criticism, and Hastings backtracked on his statement 23 days later.

Download Videos Online Tools

Posted by Unknown Senin, 26 September 2011 0 komentar
It seems like everyone these days is downloading, watching, and sharing videos from video-sharing sites like YouTube, Facebook, MetaCafe, DailyMotion, Veoh, Break, and a ton of other similar sites.

There are basically two ways to download videos off the Internet and that’s how I’ll split up this post: either via a web app or via a desktop application. Personally, I like the web applications better simply because you don’t have to clutter up and slow down your computer with all kinds of software!

ClipNabber

ClipNabber allows you to download videos from YouTube, Metacafe, etc by simply copying and pasting the URL. You’ll then get a link whereby you can download the file to your computer, iPod, iPhone, or any other media player. You’ll need to have an FLV player for the YouTube videos. Quick and very easy to use!

Website

Zamzar

Zamzar is a free online file conversion web application that can not only convert videos off the Internet to AVI, MPEG, 3GP, MP4, MOV, etc, but also converts between audio, image, and document formats. Paste the URL into Step 1 and then convert the file to your favorite format.

Website

VideoDownloader

VideoDownloader is a FireFox extension, but also allows you to paste in any URL from many sites such as Blip.TV, iFilm, and even social networking sites like MySpace. You can also download a free FLV player from their site to play the videos.

Website

Vixy

Vixy.net is another site that not only downloads online videos, but will also convert them AVI, MOV, MP4, 3GP, or MP3 (if you want to extract the audio from the file). Using this site, you don’t have to worry about downloading a FLV player as you can convert it to Windows format. (Same as Zamzar)

Website

KeepVid

KeepVid also supports just about any video sharing site out there and the only difference about this site is that it also has a Top Videos section, so you can quickly download the most watched videos around the web.

Website

Media Converter

Media Converter is similar to ZamZar and vixy.net, but requires you to create an account and log in. Also, it seems like it only supports downloading and converting videos from YouTube. You can also download their video download program, but it only supports 5 sites.

Website

Hey! Watch

Hey! Watch is an online video encoding web service that encodes video into different formats including HD very quickly. The graphical interface is very nice and there are lots of features and options, such as the ability to transfer any video from the web directly to an FTP server or to online storage.

Website

VidDownloader

VidDownloader supports about 10 sites including the major ones and can download the videos in DivX AVI format. It’s very easy to use and can also extract only the audio from a video by choosing “Just Audio” on the download page. You don’t have to worry about having an FLV player since it converts the files to Windows format.

Website

Uzeik

This site is easy to use and supports most of the major sites. You can also download a free FLV player off their site to play videos from YouTube.

Website

DownThisVideo

DownThisVideo has a nice tag cloud at the top that you can click on to find videos quickly. From what I could tell, this site is mostly used by Japanese because the popular videos are mostly Anime, etc. However, you can still use it to download any YouTube video.

Website

Video Downloaders for your DeSktop

If you prefer to have a desktop application that can download videos for you, check out the following list:

Orbit Downloader This is by far the best desktop application I have seen for downloading any type of social media off the Internet. It can download videos and music from MySpace, YouTube, Pandora, Rapidshare, and lots more. It has a great interface and carries a very small foot print.

VDownloader A small little application that can download videos from many sites and converts them to AVI or MPG format.

Ares Tube Another popular video download application that is very small and very easy to use. You can download videos in batches by entering URLs into a queue and Ares Tube can convert them into different formats such as iPod, MP4, MPG, etc.

KeepV Downloads videos from YouTube, MySpace, and Google and converts them to either MOV, 3GP, AVI, iPod, or PSP format.

Hopefully, using one of the tools above, you can download the video you want!

Popular Website For Source Code

Posted by Unknown Sabtu, 10 September 2011 0 komentar
Programmers spend 50% of their time just looking at source code. When trying to understand how a system is organized, they often must look at and across many files that make up the system. It is difficult to find code in large software systems of thousands of files coded in multiple programming languages. I complied a list of Coder Search Engine and hope now you can find code according to your requirement easily.
